In addition to working with individuals to bring change into their bodies and lives, Gena also works with community groups and organizations, as well as corporate leadership. Her goal is to bring embodied work, based in neuroscience, to fields that might be impacted by the theory of changing the nervous system but lack a powerful method to arrive at this place of deeper understanding.

The scope and applications of clinical somatic education are inspiring and limitless. Gena is passionate about leveraging the creative potential of clinical somatic movement education, training teachers of all kinds, and finding use cases for clinical somatic work across professional fields.

Recent participants in a senior leadership training Gena co-led at a pharmaceutical company in India remarked upon on the powerful takeaways of speaking directly to how clinical somatic work affects our relationship with self, and bringing this deeper understanding to the corporate world.

From leading a group of 40 senior managers to guiding somatic experiences for groups of parents and therapists, Gena provides opportunities to go far beyond the current mindbody jargon to the essence of what blocks our way forward.

Gena has also led professional development projects in the New Haven, CT public schools as part of a grant project to bring movement and art into early childhood language arts curriculum. This immersive, sensory movement and arts project included writing curriculum and received funding for two years.
